Sandy Hudson is in her second term as the Chairperson of the Canadian Federation of Students–Ontario, representing more than 300,000 students. Sandy served three terms on the Executive Committee of the University of Toronto Students’ Union; one term as Vice-President Equity and two terms as President. Sandy also served as the Women’s Representative and the Racialized Students Representative to the National Executive of the Canadian Federation of Students.
Sandy is a community and campus organizer who has spearheaded anti-racism and anti-violence initiatives. She has also helped organize three province-wide days of action for affordable education. She helped to organize the Federation’s Task Force on Campus Racism, a groundbreaking report examining systemic racism on college and university campuses across Ontario. The report received international recognition and helped to implement structural changes to create safer spaces for racialized students studying in Ontario.
