“Migrant Dreams”: The Documentary - Indiegogo Fundraising Campaign!
Greetings!
For the last year I have been developing a feature documentary about the lives of migrant women workers in Canada. I am writing to let you know the fundraising campaign for the documentary MIGRANT DREAMS has just been launched. I hope you take a moment to visit the site and consider supporting the doc with a small donation. Right now every dollar counts. I’m trying to raise 15K in a month.
I had a bit of money from TVO to shoot some development footage but that’s all gone. I’d like to continue shooting. Most pressing right now is a group of migrant women from the same food processing plant who are pursuing a human rights case against their former employer for sexual harassment. The criminal case against the employer resulted in a conviction. They are Thai and Mexican women who are working together across cultural and language barriers in the pursuit of justice. The tribunal is underway and I’d like to shoot with the process.
This is our Indiegogo fundraising page:

I’ve also launched a FB page, pls visit and ‘like’ it! That way you’ll be looped in and receive updates on what’s going on.
Also, please check out the website for more info:

Please share this message widely.
Many Thanks!
